Fujifilm FinePix XP20 – Basic Tough Camera
Fujifilm FinePix XP20 – Basic Tough Camera
Almost every major camera manufacturer has one tough camera in their lineup and Fujifilm has two. The Fujifilm FinePix XP20 that we are reviewing today is one of them, with the Fujifilm FinePix XP30 being the other. These rugged cameras not only are waterproof, but also are dustproof, shockproof, freezeproof and up to some extent they even are crushproof. The only major difference between the XP20 and XP30 is the GPS receiver, which is present in XP30, and absent in XP20. But apart from that both the cameras have been tested to withstand depth of 16 feet underwater for around 2 hrs; temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit and drop from 4.9 ft. The best thing about these rugged cameras is that all that protection for your camera comes pretty cheap, while in general you don’t get rugged  [...]

Fujifilm X10 – A Low-Priced, Heavyset Camera
Fujifilm X10 – A Low-Priced, Heavyset Camera
We always wanted a camera that will turn heads and will make your hear run faster. The all new Fujifilm X10 from Fujifilm is a brand new compact customer oriented 12 MP cameras, and it is the successor of Fuji’s nicely-accepted Fujifilm X100, which was affordable, but not attractively designed variant of the Leica X1. Now, the X10 might be less priced that its precursor, but the good thing here is that there hasn’t been any compromised done here. The X10 gives a rock-solid feel in hand and the retro styling of the camera, which makes it look like a classic 35 millimeter film camera is an utter old flame. So, in simple terms you can call the Fujifilm X10, the X100 Jr. While, the size of the X10 is pretty much like the compact cameras on which you can easily change the lens, the brilliant  [...]

Fujifilm Finepix camera reviews – FinePix F300EXR
Fujifilm Finepix camera reviews – FinePix F300EXR
I have written plenty of Fujifilm Finepix camera reviews and in all their devices, I’ve noticed that they have good quality and the price too is really affordable. Recently I reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR which was one of the first camera from this manufacturer to have its Super EXR CCD sensor. The technology is quite old now and we first saw it on F200EXR. In the F300EXR, the zoom has been extended from 5x to 15x (as compared to the F200EXR model) and the lens have been widended from 28mm to 24mm (35mm equivalent). However, the chassis is still the same at 0.9 inch thickness. While writing Fujifilm Finepix camera reviews for this device, I noticed that the shooting features and sensor are the same as Z800EXR also by the same company. You get  [...]

Fujifilm FinePix S2550HD – Reasonable Way To Get 18x Lens
Fujifilm FinePix S2550HD – Reasonable Way To Get 18x Lens
The Fujifilm FinePix S2550HD enters the already flooding megazoom camera segment of the market with its 18x zoom and affordable price of $250. Though, its nice to see that while the megazoom cameras are all over the market, in every size and shape; Fujifilm's FinePix S2550HD with its 18x zoom fits carves its own niche with lens that that its reach and "budget" price tag of less than $250; though you can get the camera easily for less than $200, as well. The best thing about the camera is its shooting features, which are just superb for its class including the including the manual and semi-manual controls in addition to plenty of burst shooting options. The camera also has an electronic viewfinder, which many of the manufacturers have started dropping from their lower-end megazoom cameras. Conversely,  [...]

Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP – Reasonably Priced Waterproof Point-And-Shoot Camera
Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP – Reasonably Priced Waterproof Point-And-Shoot Camera
The Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP is a beach/pool camera, and should be used for serious diving photography, as the camera is waterproof only up to 10 feet and for only for 2 hrs consecutively. The camera is custom made for the shooting environments where you can not use the traditional point and shoot cameras. The FinePix Z33WP works exceedingly well in the environmental conditions such as dirty, damp or dusty. Though, the performance of the camera is a bit slow and the photo quality delivered here is a tad soft and grainy. So this camera should be considered only when you party a lot alongside the pool, or when you need waterproofing or when you are on a budget. Build and Design: The Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP is yet another camera from Fujifilm's Z-series of cameras,  [...]

Fujifilm FinePix S1500 Digital Camera – A Fully-Loaded Megazoom At Low Price
Fujifilm FinePix S1500 Digital Camera – A Fully-Loaded Megazoom At Low Price
Add the term “low price” to camera and all of a sudden you will find that even that average camera becomes great. But that surely is not the case with the Fujifilm FinePix S1500, this 10-megapixel camera is a decent Megazoom, but that’s it for the camera, it stays like that despite its price lower than $200. The camera although has a huge feature set including a complete manual, semi-manual, a 12x zoom lens and complete automatic controls. Though the photo quality of the camera is also worsens noticeably when shooting above ISO 200 and most importantly the camera definitely is not the fastest in the block. Although comparatively speaking, we find this camera to be an inexpensive way of getting some zoom power daylight or for well-lit indoor shooting. Build and Design: The  [...]

Fuji FinePix HS10 – A Bit of dSLR and Point-To-Shoot Both
Fuji FinePix HS10 – A Bit of dSLR and Point-To-Shoot Both
The Fuji FinePix HS10 feels like the decisive conduit camera, especially with its an electronic viewfinder and huge slanting LCD, wide-angle lens with manual 30x zoom; straight controls to all the major settings; and with its shooting modes ranging from entirely manual to entirely automatic. The combination of all the aforementioned features makes FinePix HS10 a respectable all-in-one fixed-lens camera, but it also is not without compromises. But the price tag of the camera makes it hard to gulp down. The one thing that we are sure you won’t be getting here is the photo quality, so even if you are expecting photo quality of an entry-level camera with it, you will be extremely disappointed. The same is the case with the shooting performance of the camera. Although, if you are OK with some  [...]

Fujifilm FinePix JZ300 – Well Thought-of Compact Megazoom
Fujifilm FinePix JZ300 – Well Thought-of Compact Megazoom
The Fujifilm FinePix JZ300 is the desperate effort made by Fujifilm to offer something at least for everyone in its 2010 camera lineup. The FinePix JZ300 and its counterpart FinePix JZ500 are the two offering made by Fujifilm at the prices of $199.95 and $249.95 respectively. These two cameras not only have a 10x zoom lens in common, but also have plenty of other similarities as well. Though the two cameras mainly differs in the color and resolution choices; the JZ300 that we are reviewing here comes with 12-megapixel resolution and is available in silver or black versions. The price difference between the JZ500 and FinePix JZ300 comes from some of the irrelevant shooting options of JZ500. One such extraneous feature is the face recognition feature for pets, and to be very precise for cats  [...]
