Canon Powershot A800 – Bulky Than The Silky Ultra – Slim Compact
Canon Powershot A800 – Bulky Than The Silky Ultra – Slim Compact
rs on a budget and shopping in the lower bracket of the digital camera market have a handful of options to choose from. But sadly only a couple of them are any good. If you look at the lower end of the market you will find a lot of cameras that have cheap lenses, sub-standard image quality and poor construction, and that’s what makes it hard to pick a real bargain. A lot of times what you think as a bargain turns out to be a total rip off and that’s what calls for extra cautiousness and carefulness. However, with all this confusion there enters the Canon Powershot A800, which also is a low-priced digital camera from an incredibly respected brand. Priced at only £70, some compromises are bound to come your way, but the good thing here is that there are quite a few  [...]

Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS – Stylish Elph Version
Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS – Stylish Elph Version
The Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS is a fashionable Elph edition of Canon’s PowerShot S95 compact cameras. The Elph 500 HS comes with a similar lens having a vivid f2.0 highest aperture and semi-manual shooting modes. The Canon PowerShot Elph 500 HS also gets the High Sensitivity (HS) system of Canon for delivering better dim- or poor-light photos. Although, the S95 makes use of a 10 MP CMOS sensor, which is a tad bigger that the ½.3 inch rear-side illuminated CMOS censor. The two cameras are also separated by a $100, and while the pictures taken from S95 are superior we don’t think that a lot of shooters will be attracted towards it because of the $100 extra. But then again, we will pay $100 more to get the bodily controls of S95 instead of the 500 HS’s touch screen procedure. If you  [...]

Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS – Fun-To-Use Ultracompact
The recent PowerShot Elph series of Canon featuring the ultra compact cameras has been deficient in certain areas. These areas don’t include the photo quality, but it certainly includes the areas like overall value and shooting performance. But for the model year 2011, Canon has snapped back, thanks to the inclusion of the CMOS sensors which are backside-illuminated and has been included in their all new Elph models. Canon even altered the nomenclature of the system, and has dropped IS and SD from the products and instead has introduced HS. All these cameras accept SD cards and comes with image stabilization, so those initials weren’t necessary at all and now the cameras comes with the Digic 4 image processor, for generating better low-light photos and a faster shooting performance. Canon Vixia HF G10 – A Tad Expensive For What It Does
Canon Vixia HF G10 – A Tad Expensive For What It Does
Priced at above $1,000, the Canon Vixia HF G10 must have something really special for the modern customers apart from its widespread manual features, especially as Canon is creating a potentially puzzling lineup by introducing their HD CMOS Pro sensor in this camera, skipping the next one, and then making use of the midrange HF M4xx series. The sensor of the Canon Vixia HF G10 is the one that is being used currently in the entry-level pro models of the company. Though, on its own the sensor is the one used in the trio, because it’s bigger than the conventional consumer sensor, having 2.75 micron pixels instead of the 1.7 micron pixels. Canon also claims a 280 % enhancement in the dynamic range of the camera over the previous prosumer cameras, having a brand new minimum suggested  [...]

Canon EOS 60D – Designed for Flexibility
Canon EOS 60D – Designed for Flexibility
Canon EOS 60D is a great digital camera that comes with articulated display and provides excellent video quality and options. It is in many ways a great camera: feature-packed fast and with excellent video and image quality. The EOS 60D is an interesting model which combines some of the exquisite and exclusive features of 7D and T2i in an updated redesigned body. Overall the image quality is excellent and delivers relatively clean JPEGs at ISO 800. As compared to other DSLR models in the market, Canon doesn’t reveal the baseline settings for faithful and neutral color styles. The metering and exposure in Canon EOS 60D live up to the expectations, on the other hand 14-bit Canon processing pipeline tends to deliver impressive tonal range results. Compared with D7000, the  [...]
